Aveleda Parcela do Convento

Aveleda Parcela do Convento comes from a special Loureiro parcel situated on a granitic slope. This allows excellent drainage and the vineyard exposure is optimal, creating wines with great aroma concentration. The harvest is manual with cluster selection. The grapes are cooled until arriving at the vinification center where they undergo soft pressing at low pressures. Alcoholic fermentation and 9 month aging happen in stainless steel vats with weekly bâttonage. The wine rests in bottle for another 9 months before being released.

Tasting Notes

Of a pale yellow color, Aveleda Parcela do Convento boasts aromas of white flowers, passionfruit and citrus fruits, very typical of the variety. On the palate, this wine shows a powerful concentration, but gentile, and an incredible structure, not common in Loureiro varietals. Notes of elderflower, ripe passionfruit and lime zest are blended in an exquisite minerality, making this one endless and unforgettable.
